Lake Mead?
Years ago the USA wanted to illegally divert river water from Canada down to the USA with the ’GARRISON DIVERSION". It was started but never completed. Theft is theft even if it IS the government doing it.

my local lake did just this. you can walk across the dry lakebed. no sign of life.

Floods in Europe and parts of USA, but no water in CA, just horrific forest fires. Sad, sad, sad.
