I bought a Goofy figure at the airport in Orlando once. I told the clerk it was for my little girl. She asked me how old she was. I told her, “50.” My wife had liked the character since she was a little girl.

It was a clear message from Walt Disney. According to him, even within the same species, some are superiors and made to rule, some are inferiors and made to obey.

And this folks is why Goofy and Pluto never got along.

I can see a similar joke with Pete and Figaro with Figaro being the one having to use the litter box.

Ah, the age-old philosophical conundrum: If Pluto is a dog, what is Goofy? …
