Britt didn’t get the Memo. POC’s are off limits to be vaxxed shamed apparently. Checking data from 8/2 shows improvement across the board but Blacks have a lot of ground to make up with getting the Shot. Yesterday I saw a scary number from NYC 69% of Blacks had yet to get even one shot. Their mayor is about to go all “Jim Eagle” on their butts forbidding entry to work, stores or entertainment. This should get interesting fast, I’m living in a 70+% area so glad to be 3,000 miles away.
I work in a hospital as a caregiver. It absolutely amazes me that there are still people who think this is a hoax or no worse than the common flu. And, unfortunately, I personally —and a lot of my fellow caregivers— are weary and angry. How people can be so woefully ignorant is simply beyond the pale. And the saddest thing is that, for many, the last words they’ll gasp out before the ventilator is put on is: “I didn’t think this would happen to me.” You hate to be callous, but the voice inside your head is saying: “Pal, you had your chance. One less moron contributing to the gene pool.” Truthfully, it’s how a lot of us feel.
