So when will HE get around to make it a sphere? Currently it is an oblate spheroid. The diameter is some 30 miles greater at the Equator than at the poles.

Great, so the earth is a rounding error.

Bizarro World.

A famous astronomer, after a lecture, was told by an elderly lady that his cosmology was wrong: the earth is flat and rests on the back of a giant turtle. When the astronomer asked what the turtle stands on, she replied “You can’t fool me – it’s turtles all the way down”.

I suggest it be fat in the middle and flatter on the top and bottom with it so cold no one would want to go there.

He started out with it being flat, but they kept walking off of the edge.
