The nerve! Telling a cat what a cat eats! A cat eats anything the cat wants to eat (or try)!

I feel like this is a true story.

On the contrary, Man, you have confused “eat” with “make”. Cats don’t make sandwiches. That’s what humans are for. Cats can take care of the eating bit just fine.

The cat in my Avatar is Robson, he was the Alpha Male of the Hoard, and would eat curry and pizza if I wasn’t looking (Or even if I was!), a silly thing like a sandwich was inconsequential in comparison!! He once had a roast potato off of my plate one Sunday and returned five minutes later with potato all over his whiskers….

My sweet cat Buddy (who lived to be 21+) used to sit on the back of a chair when ice cream was spotted and swipe out with his paw to bring it to his mouth, whether it was a cone or a spoonful. It was clearly “his” ice cream and he was sharing it with me.

This impasse requires The Woman’s personal touch, methinks.

Wrapping paper? Is that how meneating tigers call our duds?

I believe Pucky has swooned! Where is his fainting couch?

And now, we need a little Christmas in August

Haul out the mayo,

Put some bread in the toaster,

Man, you have managed to upset the whole clowder at once! That’s quite a feat!

I’m rarely surprised at the things my cats will eat anymore

Cats eat whatever the heck they want. They are also finicky and choose their food with a connoisseur’s sense of taste, so you can be assured that that wrapping paper was the finest, most scrumptious wrapping paper in the house.

Or, on the occasion that the food turns out to not meet gourmet standards (i.e. is not actually edible), it will then be used to produce a very artistically impressive hairball. And, of course, the cat meant to do that.

The only way you’re winning this argument, Man, is if you hurry up and eat the dang sandwich already before any cat can get the chance to nab it from you.

In other news, the Man must still be a reliable enough of a source for tidbits most the rest of the time for all these cats in order to still be trying, as I’ve found most cats learn quick who is or is not most likely to give them tidbits and focus their efforts on those that are than those that do not.

I had a tomcat that would eat the occasional piece of banana when offered.

Our black cat likes anything small and round, like grapes and cherry tomatoes, but not to eat. No, small round things are great fun to bat around until one of the servants steps on it, but eat….Nope, nope, nope!

OT: R update

Tucker loves yogurt, especially blueberry. He is right on me whenever I get some out. I’ve offered it to him on a dish, but he won’t touch that. Tucker insists on being fed with a spoon, so I save the last spoonful for him. Not spoiled at all…

Puck even has a fluffed up tail!

I used to have a long haired small girl named April that would eat some bread and flour tortillas.
