There are some who die of it, still believing that Covid-19 is a hoax. People aren’t really all that rational, though I do believe it’s at least partly teachable.
MB’s claims get sillier every day. Just looking at Obama’s presidency for example, Repubs met on inauguration night in 2009 to discuss how to limit President Obama to one term and stop him from accomplishing ANYTHING, even if the Repubs had previously been in favor of it. During the 2010 midterms, the Repubs claimed that their top priority was JOBS, but the day after the election, McConnell stated that their top priority was limiting Obama tpo one term. The numerous Benghazi hearings all came to the same conclusion that refuted the lies from Repubs, and Kevin McCarthy even openly admitted that at least one of them was held specifically to hurt HRC’s poll numbers. There was even absolute insanity from Repubs over a tan suit.
Nixon commissioned the Shafer Report about the effects of marijuana – the conclusion was that it wasn’t harmful. But since Nixon wanted to use marijuana to go after political enemies (POC fighting for civil rights and Vietnam protestors) he threw away the report and started escalating the ridiculous “war on drugs”.
War on drugs continued under Reagan, who ignored the AIDS crisis. His statement that people should be afraid to get help from the government just proves why Repubs (and too many Dems) shouldn’t be elected if they cannot be counted on to work for the people instead of big business.
Newt Gingrich’s “Republican Revolution” nationalized elections so they moved away from local state issues that had previously determined elections. Whitewater didn’t pan out, so Kavanaugh (how ironic) suggested to Ken Starr that he look for “personal dirt”. When they found it, Newt, and then his intended replacement had to drop out as Speaker because of their own affairs. It ended up being Hastert because people didn’t know at that time about him molesting teen boys when he was a wrestling coach. Several other Repubs including Henry Hyde voted for impeachment while they were guilty of their own affairs.
Heard on the wireless this morning, a doctor in Missouri telling us how the unvaccinated are filling the hospitals, wishing they had been vaccinated and now they have the Delta variant asking if they can get the vaccine now. This same doctor told us the harrowing tale of trying to save a 37 year old mother of two at the end of his shift, but alas, to no avail. Here in Australia, the people who are not vaccinated in Sydney (source of our current outbreak of Delta), are the ones taking up the beds in the ICU and dying. We have a better chance of being hit by a bus, than dying from the vaccine.
Looks like The Butthurt Blowhard (Aka Missing (parts of male anatomy)) doesn’t read history books and is back to having “a convenient amount of memory failure” with regards to history and the Turd Reich. Seems how he forgot just how many times those con men backed not only losers but then also heavily backed the crap out of those who bacme enemies of not only the USA but much of the rest of the free world. So doest that mean that the Butthurt Blowhard really supports the Taliban? I mean he kisses butt to the guys that basically gave them enough money and weapons (and did it pretty much behind the back of congress at the time. “Oops, did we forget to tell congress?” – a great play there, Mr. RayGun. You were real good at that) to get started and decades they’re still going strong. That Blowhard, you’re guys created one of the biggest threats to our nation of all time. Nice going, you arrogant fool, you and your buds created them and turned our own weapons and tax dollar against us.
