Dean Obeidallah, progressive radio host filed a complaint on Tuesday against Fox News for coordinating a “misinformation campaign” around COVID.
The complaint alleges that Fox News violated the COVID-19 Consumer Protection Act, a December law which “makes it unlawful under Section 5 of the Federal Trade Commission Act for any person, partnership, or corporation to engage in a deceptive act or practice in or affecting commerce associated with the treatment, cure, prevention, mitigation, or diagnosis of COVID–19.”
The recently enacted COVID-19 Consumer Protection Act, which appears perfectly designed to address Fox News deceptive information," he added. “The goal of that law is to protect the public from deceptive info by those seeking to profit from peddling COVID related lies. Fox News is a for-profit business that sells information. Clearly, it’s a business decision by the executives at Fox News to allow lies and other deceptive COVID vaccine info to repeatedly appear on its air.”
Maybe this will get their attention and more complaints against other Confederate media will follow.
Desantis says he doesn’t want school children wearing masks so they can breath. But he doesn’t care if the kids, parents and teachers get Covid and can’t breath!!
Fox employees, including those who work at Fox News, received an email, obtained by CNN Business, from the company’s Human Resources department in early June that said Fox had “developed a secure, voluntary way for employees to self-attest their vaccination status.”
The system allows for employees to self-report to Fox the dates their shots were administered and which vaccines were used.
The company has encouraged employees to report their status, telling them that “providing this information to FOX will assist the company with space planning and contact tracing.”
Employees who report their status are allowed to bypass the otherwise required daily health screening, according to a follow-up email those who reported their vaccination status received.“Thank you for providing FOX with your vaccination information,” the email said. “You no longer are required to complete your daily health screening through WorkCare/WorkMatters.”
The general level of information (“low”) among the Antivaxxer MAGA set is revealed by the numerous accounts of such people, horribly sick with Covid-19, who ask to be vaccinated.
I.e., who have no clue as to what a vaccine is or how it works.
A nurse interviewed the other day stated that some of her colleagues are suffering from “empathy fatigue.” They are exhausted and then they have to treat patients who refused the vaccine. Feel so badly for medical community. Except those who are not getting vaccinated themselves.
People are starting to blame the unvaccinated. It is not their fault really. People should blame those in positions of leadership or influence who spread misinformation. I wonder if unvaccinated people who get covid can sue those people who told them not get vaccinated. They should.

Fox News waited a year and a half, just to make sure that the vaccine was safe. I believe that, they were concerned about public safety. /S

Republicans repeatedly predicted that COVID-19 would ‘disappear’ after the election … guess what?
“It will go away.” (3/6/2020)
“It’s going to go away.” (3/12/2020)
“It will go away, and we’re going to have a great victory.” (3/30/2020)
“It’s going to go away, hopefully at the end of the month. And, if not, hopefully it will be soon after that.” (3/31/2020)
“I didn’t say a date. I said ‘it’s going away,’ and it is going away.” (4/5/2020)
“It’ll go away—at some point, it’ll go away.” (5/15/2020)
“I will be right eventually. I said, ‘It’s going to disappear.’ I’ll say it again.” (4/19/2020)
“It’s going to go away.” (8/30/2020)
“It’s going to disappear; it is disappearing.” (10/10/2020)
“It is going away; it’s rounding the turn.” (10/24/2020)
Funny thing about those dates. It seems like after the election, someone really did stop talking about COVID-19. It was the guy who never cared.
