how tall of a kid? one of Dill’s older brothers who make trebuchets?

I jumped out of the swing and landed on my brother…then he beat me up.

Things I’d forgotten from childhood, like those trenches : )

They would just pour concrete to fix those back in the day

I have days like that.

“Help! I’m stuck in an under-swing trench!” I’m willing to wager that, that is the first time that particular phrase has been spoken!

And, if Dill was drowning, Alice would throw him some rocks…

The genius is giving a name to “the underswing trench”.❤️

After a good rain the trench would be full of muddy water. That made the swing experience better.

Poor Dill muses: “I almost got to touch Touché!”

Alice is such an egotistical child! She has no compassion for poor “Shorty” Dill, stuck in that trench….
