Our school had two kinds of shot-put balls, one kind was covered in plastic for indoor use. So, of course, when a coach was demonstrating the shot-put, he used one of the plastic covers that didn’t have a ball inside. We figured it out pretty quickly.

Well, after all, it is called shotput, so shot-out-of-a-cannon seems fair.
