What he needs to do is make friends with someone who did pay extra for a unit with AC. Offer to bring over some beer and Metamucil, and he’s got it made.

and I’m sure it would be well hot enough that it will be well singed enough to be eating.

Using the oven on a hot day is probably not the smartest move.

Brutus why don’t you be a good nephew and invite uncle Ted to your place for dinner? If I were uncle Ted, I’d be down to my skivvies by now!

OR just take your old man out in your air conditioned car to an air conditioned restaurant or Ice Cream Shop for an enjoyable meal with a giant ice pop for dessert. I wish that I could……

Lived in San Antonio for 14 years. Summers get in the 90s, 100 and above are not uncommon. Every summer the SAFD-Fire Dept-ran a program where people would buy and donate a box fan then the SAFD handed them out every few days to the people, mostly elderly, who did not have AC

Is there such a thing as apartments without air conditioning now?

It’s interesting to see Uncle Ted in his apartment instead of at Brutus’s house.

If Brutus is accurate about the temperature, that could kill Uncle Ted if it stays that way.
