@Linguist Today, strip IS funny, we can all sympathize with what our HERO Mr Andrew Capp is going thru I’d be ready in the car with the engine running and my spouse keeps going back back in the house for reasons only females know :O) my avatar is a picture of Sleepy because that ’s how feel after a lack of sleep last night , coment avez vous passe votre Dimanche mon moins vieux ami? our Sunday should be a little busy but we should cope I hope, no early morning drive , no errands to run we both are in a good mood and we are staying in the house because of the infernal heat watch the holy mass celebrated by our Archbishop on telly , keep safe and hydrated and a bientot pal

Yet another Sunday strip that seems to be two daily strips joined together.

Ron and Ethel remind me of characters from an old radio show from before I was born. It was called “Take It From Here” and the main sketch always concerned Ron Glum, his dad and Ron’s fiancee Eth. When I was a boy, the Glums sketches became a TV sitcom with each episode containing two sketches from the original radio show. Jimmy Edwards played Pa Glum in both versions.

I’ve been to an open bar wedding only twice. During my nephew’s wedding they were well prepared and had lots of liquor left over (paid for by my cousin and the bride’s family thought that they could take the leftovers home with them). The second wedding had limited liquor and ran out halfway through the reception.
