I would like to think the ten years of fierce GOP civil war that would follow Trump’s passing would assuage those fears.

It’s not so much Trump, at least for me, as it is what he represents. Though I admit I’m having to watch myself to avoid posting about him. Much.

It was a dark 4 years. But it felt much longer…. I remember just a few months after Trump was elected I was at the pool for swim practice. I distinctly remember talking with one of the people there and we both sadly realized (and repeated each other) the dark statement “It’s only the first year”.

The Orange Horror Clown is just a whiney, dumpy con man, not Dracula. What is alarming are the millions who buy his BS without hesitation.

There was a reason why we “buried” UBL in the middle of the ocean!! No “grave” to adore and worship!!!

I don’t want to rail against Rall, but this is stupid.

One day, Mr. Rall, there may be an intelligent and competent autocrat who will accomplish what Herr Gropingfuror tried.

Look at what the fear of Civil Rights and Voting rights have done to “Republicans” since 1965.

If Trump wins in 2024 the earth is doomed.

Trump won’t win, but I welcome his candidacy. It should really mess up the Republican primary. He will either win the nomination, with 2/3 of the country already ready to vote for anyone that isn’t Trump, or he will lose the nomination and his supporters will either vote for him as a third party candidate, or not vote at all. Either way, Democrats will get another four years, if they run anyone remotely acceptable.

Rall is wrong, again. After all, what is the US going through, if not what happened in Germany in the ’30s?That guy died, has history written about him, yet his policy is being resurrected once more.

Trump is impotent without Trumpublicans like Rall who are a danger to nation and party.

Does Rall think that his desired revolution will take place if Trump gets back in in 2024? Is that why he constantly denigrates everyone one who differs from him even slightly? Does he really want things to get so bad that an open civil war occurs? That is certainly what the RW associations, like Proud Boys and 3%ers, want.

You can see by the gnashing of teeth and the screaming that Mr. Rall has hit the nail on the head. Hilarious.

Ted, you DON’T fear the Party Of Trump and their voter suppression laws?

In the last 5 short years we’ve witnessed at least a full 30+% of this Nation embrace fascism. “scared”? No. Justifiably Terrified.

With all his lies and propaganda, you don’t think the clown is still a threat? Man, that is really burying your head in the sand Ted.

Perhaps Disgraced Former President Trump will be healthy enough to run again in 2024, perhaps not. Perhaps he will be popular enough to win the GOP nomination, perhaps not. Perhaps he will win the general election in 2024, perhaps not.

But right now in 2021 he is still present and influential, and the danger must be acknowledged. “What, six months out of office and not forgot yet?” Hitler died with the Thousand-Year Reich, but is DFPT at this point Napoleon on St. Helena, or merely Napoleon on Elba?

We should be scared of the Cult of Trump and Q’Anon still exists 500 years from now.

The state your country is in, it’s a valid fear. Not necessarily Trump, but the GOP is actively fostering the people who would be willing to take Trump’s place. MTG is a classic example of what they are nurturing.
