Dear Michael – isn’t the mantra of your side of the fence that government should NOT interfere? Isn’t U.S. BIZ able to fend for itself? Make up your mind, please. Oh – and if the answer for some strange reason is that U.S. BIZ want government help, DO remember that that government is financed by TAXES……
Umm, Mramirez, the government doesn’t control the flow if information over the Internet. If businesses are too lazy, cheap, or complacement to secure their cyber infrastructure, there isn’t anything the government can do. It can protect government agencies.
Ramirez-the-Shill’s take on the economy is 180̊ from THE TRUTH and he likes it that way. Those who know better pay no attention to his DELIBERATE LIES and those who know no better accept his lies as CONFIRMATION of their zealous, gleeful, willing embrace of ignorance.
Has Ramirez realized that hacking is not simply an attack on US facilities and businesses? That the Russian hackers, protected by Putin, are going after anyone and everyone.
Private businesses are responsible for their own cyber security. Fed and State governments have to focus on national security targets. How is this hard for Conservatives to understand? Oh wait, they do, they just need more BS propaganda to feed their uninformed base.
All the pros and cons about who is responsible for the protection of the US businesses and the commentary and blame games are absolutely what the governments conducting these attacks want. Our countries greatness is and has been dependent on our industry and the freedom that makes it work. I combined effort between business and government is needed to protect our country. Anything less is doomed to failure. And with this failure our nation will become less independent and more dependent on those nations that have realized a joint effort was needed, or the countries orchestrating these attacks.
I dunno Mikey. I am not a bizness. Never have been, but when we buy new computers, the first thing we do is install the anti virus we pay for. Perhaps I ought to go to my Guv Mint and ask them to protect me from hackers and the like?

Evidently, they weren’t on Trump’s either because this has been going on long before Biden was POTUS.

Leave it to Ramirez to do a great job on drawing a false narrative.

Solar Wind was the biggest cyber attack against the American govt and it happened because idiot Trump trusted Putin. Republicans did nothing.
Biden has told Putin there will be retaliation.
