Silly. And in fact, the dry isn’t all that bad. What’s BAD is the effect of the dry: fires (and loss of habitat). The other fact is that the seas are rising… melting polar ice.
This is so real it almost isn’t funny. We’ve already got people coughing their lungs out in hospitals, thinking “I’m dying from COVID, but at least we’re owning the libs”. Now we’ll have people squeezing sweat from towels into water bottles, and thinking the same thing about drought.
Changing weather patterns has destroyed many civilizations in the past, perhaps this one is on the ropes now. Sacrificing virgins never worked and this time crying climate change won’t either.
By the way: Last month was the hottest June on record in North America, with more than 1,200 daily temperature records broken in the final week alone. But overlooked in much of the coverage were an even greater number of daily records set by a different — and potentially more dangerous — measure of extreme heat: overnight temperatures.
On average, nights are warming faster than days across most of the United States, according to the 2018 National Climate Assessment Report. It’s part of a global trend that’s being fueled by climate change.
Thank you, Rob, for using the proper term — “deniers” — instead of “skeptics”. Skepticism is a healthy attitude, akin to the Missouri state motto “Show me”. In fact, it’s the core of all scientific research. Unfortunately, it’s become associated in the public mind with cynicism, denialism, and nihilism, which are not the same thing! A true skeptic expresses doubts about unlikely propositions and asks for confirmatory evidence but is willing to accept that evidence once presented. A denialist can’t be swayed by any amount of evidence, because for them it’s not a matter of science, it’s a matter of religion.

Saw this coming. Way back, the grapes kept getting ripe sooner and sooner. About forty years ago. Great alcohol and always a vintage year.
Smart people should have taken a hint. Nice at first, not so much now.

It may be too late for all of us. Like a canoe heading for the falls, we might be past turning back climate change.

It’s happening. It’s happening. Some people honestly will take their denying to their dying breath. But, it’s happening.

Liberals are so stupid. The climate change will escape through the hole in the ozone.
