More than one notable person in reality has written an “unauthorized autobiography” (the phrase being a joke): Larry Rivers, Ray Davies, Tommy Chong, Chris Elliott, et al. There have also been fictional “unauthorized autobiographies” of Lemony Snicket and George W. Bush, and a compilation of smuggled autobiographical documents from Kim Jung-Il — probably the only true “unauthorized autobiography” to date. So, there’s an actual precedent for this.
