Set a timer. Without a sense of time, I have to rely on timers to cook.

Maybe put the BBQ on a hammock next to the sleeping hammock. Nothing bad could happen at all.

That’s something you have to learn when you cook. It has to have your undivided attention. My 5 year old has this super power. She knows when I’m at the point cooking the meal where I can’t look away. That’s when she starts bothering me to do things for her.
