Pft, I’ll be impressed when someone finds a fossil that’s only 14 years old

That they were each the 38th governor of their respective states is a weird coincidence, and a mango more than 18 times bigger than normal (an average mango is just under half a pound) is incredible. Finding a fossil while excavating for a pool is interesting, but lacks the same “believe it or not”-ness.

Why were they astonished? The Earth is billions of years old and has lots of bones in it. Silly pool boys.

Take care, may prolific scrimshaw artist Hank “Squinty” Coopord be with you, and gesundheit.

! 4,000-year-old fossils? I thought it took 100,000 years or more.

Where I lived in Maryland, people would be surprised to dig up human bones. Some people’s knowledge of history is horribly deficient: by a house on an old battlefield, or where the field hospital was, and guess what you find.

You don’t have to dig for fossils in Florida, they live next door.

Fossils of what, and why is 14,000 years even noteworthy? Contrary to Christian canon, the world really is older than 6500 years (cue replies from various ignoramuses).

I left cali before Arnie showed up to play the gov part nuff said about that. sat and talked to Jessie one on one for about 20 minutes one time. Jesse has a great sense of humor and only ran for gov so he could prove if you got enough money and name recognition you can become a politician. I asked him some serious questions about politics and he had some very intelligent views about our political system and what corrupts/manipulates it. that was back in 2004. Jesse ALWAYS spoke his mind and didn’t worry about what people thought about him. still doesn’t. but do a ‘google’ and you’ll see for yourself.

like mangos.fossils are such old news.3 believes

Any idea where to find the dog who buried the bones? Occasionally interesting to learn the connections between points of history.

The process of fossilization takes several million years. Those are the actual bones, not fossils.

The fossils, or bones, were from an Ice Age horse. The pool site ended up being a scientific dig site, so there were definitely people interested in the find.
