    Though second meteor streak they saw would not be the same meteor as the first, it would probably be from the same meteoroid swarm.

    The Perseid Meteor Shower is visible in the Northern Hemisphere from about July 14 – August 24 (with a peak of Aug 11-13). The meteors may be seen on a clear night after 10:00 p.m. (best after midnight) if you can find a place away from lights.
