fennec: spot on! not only was fear the mantra of the last administration, it was the daily theme of the Rep general election campaign for president … Palin incited her crowds to near riot status with hate-filled speech, fear mongering and ugly innuendoes

ANandy, better get a refund on your history book or do you write your own. I do believe your dissastisfaction with Pres Obama has to do with other merits than political.

ANandy, who are you getting your information from? A vast array of economists – around the world – are saying this is the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression. Carter doesn’t compare. And (by your logic), didn’t he inherit from Nixon/Ford?

I don’t know what planet the Rushpublicans are living on but I know so many people that have lost their jobs that I feel fortunate to be retired. I’m 66 years old and this is the most depressed economy in my lifetime.

So, pupwithoutfear, I have a question. Is this the politics of fear?:

“Facing clear evidence of peril, we cannot wait for the final proof – the smoking gun – that could come in the form of a mushroom cloud.”

The only answer I will accept is “Yes” or “No.”
