Israeli Aircraft Bomb Gaza Just Days Into New Government.
After a day of rising tensions, which saw a far-right march in Jerusalem and incendiary balloons launched from Gaza, Israel’s new coalition government ordered airstrikes against Hamas.
For people who says that Israel should ‘just negotiate with the Palestinians’, I would like to point out that there are two groups of Palestinians: the West Bank government, who (despite having their issues) are willing to negotiate & want to improve the lives of their citizens, and Hamas in Gaza, who arrest (or beat) anybody who even talks about negotiating with Israel. This most rest war started because the leader of Hamas had been negotiating with Israel (which resulted in economic benefit for the territory), and he was scared that he would be ousted for being too weak.
This cartoon is referring to the fact that the current coalition government is made up of three groups that have nothing in common, and may out-right hate each other: Naftali Bennett’s secular (ultra?) nationalists (hey, at least they’re secular), The Arab list (yay! It’s the first time ANY Arab party has been in government) and Yair Lapid’s moderate leftists (who, for the first time in their lives, are praying: that this government doesn’t come crashing down on their heads). The only thing that they have in common is that they all hate Netanyahu more than they hate each other, and they just want to hang in there long enough for him to indicted & sent to jail.

That didn’t last long:

Israel might have more bombs but they are losing the respect and support of allies. Give Palestinians back their lands, you bunch of fascist thugs.

With a one vote “majority” is it easier to juggle 59 chainsaws or 60 chainsaws?
