I recall people wearing masks even before Covid came on the scene. During winter I’ve seen people wearing masks in shopping centres/malls to avoid catching colds, ’flu etc..
You will still need to follow guidance at your workplace and local businesses.
If you travel, you should still take steps to protect yourself and others. You will still be required to wear a mask on planes, buses, trains, and other forms of public transportation traveling into, within, or out of the United States, and in U.S. transportation hubs such as airports and stations. Fully vaccinated international travelers arriving in the United States are still required to get tested 3 days before travel by air into the United States (or show documentation of recovery from COVID-19 in the past 3 months) and should still get tested 3-5 days after their trip.
You should still watch out for symptoms of COVID-19, especially if you’ve been around someone who is sick. If you have symptoms of COVID-19, you should get tested and stay home and away from others.
People who have a condition or are taking medications that weaken the immune system, should talk to their healthcare provider to discuss their activities. They may need to keep taking all precautions to prevent COVID-19.
The regulation in my state is that stores may let you in unmasked IF they check your vaccination status and you are vaccinated. Stores here have declined to accept the onus of checking, so they require everyone to mask up. But they’ve also declined the onus of enforcing masking so about 70% of the customers that I see in the grocery are wearing no masks. Being a polite sort of person, I follow the instructions about being masked. Hurts nothing. Might help someone… maybe even me, if some unmasked person near me coughs some variant delta viruses in my direction. (Delta variant seems to infect, some, even if you’re vaccinated. Though you generally don’t get terribly sick in that case).

Wearing a mask has no negative consequence for anyone! If people prefer to wear masks even if they don’t need to, it has no impact on anyone!
Not getting vaccinated, well that’s a very different story!

I think that it is just good manners to continue wearing my mask until Everyone is vaccinated.

Maybe the fella in the red hat will change his mind if his employer insists on vaccinations.

In many places in the U.S., the only Covid-19 cases in hospitals now are those who are unvaccinated.

To too many, medical experts are part of the “Elite” who they believe are taking away their ’freedoms!"
[ I said “believe” because they don’t really ‘think.’ ]

Yet again,
For now, if you’ve been fully vaccinated:
You will still need to follow guidance at your workplace and local businesses.
If you travel, you should still take steps to protect yourself and others. You will still be required to wear a mask on planes, buses, trains, and other forms of public transportation traveling into, within, or out of the United States, and in U.S. transportation hubs such as airports and stations. Wow, what thin skins! The doctor is making a suggestion – he is not forcing anyone to utilize his advice.
