I believe it was the Texas Requblican party that had a line in its platform condemning the teaching of critical thinking in public schools.

We have, in all of our country’s history, never done nuttin wrong and we certainly don’t want our offspring to hear about it.

Back in the 1960s, history classes were incredibly BORING. I didn’t learn any history until I was an adult. Republicans probably look back at that and call it the good ol’ days.

Just as with the Green New Deal Plan, the typical GOP voter doesn’t have a clue what Critical Race Theory actually is, they simply accept the lies from Fox News and Republican bloviates like Cruz & McCarthy because they can’t think for themselves.

Odd how when GQPs want things removed from history, they do not consider that “cancel culture”…

one thing they should teach but dont, I dont believe, is that there was quite a lot of opposition to the constitution by the founding generation. . .including by Patrick Henry himself.

I don’t want to believe in the truth. And you can’t expose my children to it.

There was a debate at a local county council meeting. One speaker said that children “aren’t ready for it.” When will they be ready? Why do we start lying to our kids as soon as they hit the ground? Why is it a surprise when they become adults and choose to ignore truth as inconvenient?

You can lead a horse to water, but…..

You can offer knowledge and education to all, but…..

The ignorant resist any and all remedies for their condition, because someone once told them “ignorance is bliss”….

One group is now calling for teachers to wear body-cams so they can be fired if they teach things contrary to what the Qpublicans want taught.

A Nevada group called the Nevada Family Alliance has proposed putting cameras on teachers to stop them from teaching Critical Race Theory. While the Washoe County School District says Critical Race Theory isn’t part of its curriculum, educators have proposed to incorporate equity, diversity and racism into its K-5 curriculum. For some, that idea raises concerns that they think need to be monitored closely. “You guys have a serious problem with activist teachers pushing politics in the classroom, and there’s no place for it, especially for our fifth graders,” Nevada Family Alliance director Karen England told trustees Tuesday. Her organization’s homepage declares, “It’s at the door. Now is the time to act.” Nevada Family Alliance describes itself as a watchdog group that’s key issues are “religious freedom, parental rights, sanctity of life, marriage and family, and education.”

I never thought the day would come when I would be glad to leave this earth. I’m now of an age where that is possible, and if this trend by the Republicans and other nut jobs continues – well, this is the day.

But those same conservatives want to keep the statues, monuments and namesakes to those who quit the U.S. invaded the U.S., made war on the U.S. and killed U.S. soldiers.
