They see the first part of the word and spit and snarl, because anything “social” is anathema to them, especially “social responsibility”.

To the GQP “Socialism” has the same amount of reality as “Pro life” and “religious freedom” and “secure voting” … which is to say none at all. They’re just words or phrases that work to activate their base (and they certainly ARE base!).

Interesting news tonight about Trump’s DOJ and “HIS” Attorney General obtained information on his ‘enemies’ in Congress and on news reporters without their knowing until now. Unheard of in American political history. Let’s see how the G.Q.P. responds.
