The peter principle is only accurate if the person doesn’t learn and develop new skills in their new position. It presumes that eventually people will be promoted a job that they are incapable of rising to the challenge of doing. And it encourages people to be judged incapable (and their promotion an error) if they aren’t perfect at a job pretty much from the start. It is a very pessimistic and fatalistic outlook that which is favored by people who like to deconstruct other people.
I’m confused. I thought it was clear that her mission was to see what could be done to work with the Northern Triangle governments to see what could be done to reduce pressures on people to flee. Thankless task.
