I think the filibuster should remain. But for gods sake, stop with the current BS of any senator only having to say the word filibuster to bring everything to a screeching halt.

In 2017, the Democrats were in the minority, so the Party in favor of dumping it would have been the Rs, with the Ds wanting to keep it.(no way in the world would the Ds have wanted to dump the filibuster in 2017) Now the boot is on the other foot, with some Ds screaming to get rid of it, while the Rs want desperately to keep it(remember when the Rs refused to vote for any Obama judicial appointments? they did it for more than 2 years, Reid finally changed the rule from needing 60 votes to a simple majority, McTurtle said he would regret that. When the Rs took over in 2016, first thing McTurtle did after trump was elected was to change the rule for SC justices to a simple majority)
