Maybe the counter space wouldn’t exist if the thing didn’t need it.

Perhaps that’s Jef poking a little fun at himself. Either way, I like it.

I have a toaster, toaster oven,microwave ,blender, George Forman,and an Instant Pot all competing for limited countertop space next to my 4 burner cooktop .My Kureg is in the bedroom.

When I had a large grill, it was pretty much a weekend thing. Unless Caulfield was watching my patio extensively I would think he would think it was pretty much unused.

If he’s making it for caffeine rather than flavor, of course it’s not occasional; espresso is about the lowest percentage of caffeine of any coffee, you need to top up constantly.

I went to a B&B in Augsburg, Germany ages ago. The owner had an espresso machine built into the kitchen wall. Took up most of the wall, too. That’s where I learned to love strong coffee.

We still keep a 20″×20″ fold up charcoal grill for occasional cookouts- about a half dozen a year. It’s stowed in the garden shed. Guess that makes puts us in the old fogies group but we don’t have to walk around the equivalent of a boat anchor when we use our deck.

To some people espresso is the lifesblood. Personally, I can’t stand coffee and alcohol.

I’m wondering how many grade-school kids are intimately familiar with the kitchen counters in their school janitor’s home.

About the only thing I can think of worse than coffee is concentrated coffee. But, to each their own.
