I got larger litterboxes for both my cats. Jingle sometimes would lift her rear while tinkling and spray over the edge, and both cats tend to kick litter over the side when covering their business.
I put disposable puppy training pads under the litterbox to catch the drips or plops on those rare times a furry butt stuck too far over the edge and missed the litter.
This one is based on whenever Fargo “forgot” or “missed” burying is business. I’d often catch Pippi burying it for him. In this rare case, if he “missed” the box, Pippi would always let me know. Her message to me was clear, she couldn’t bury his mistakes all the time. XD

Everything a cat does is deliberate. Clean all 5 litterboxes. Half hour later, pick up cat poop from floor next to the pristinely clean box.

My roomies don’t miss the box but, they do have poo sometimes stuck on their butt fur. Not their fault because they have long fur and a lot of it.
