That poor child, and now his family suffers for his loss. It’s just heartbreaking. I had three children, and now I have three grandchildren. I cannot imagine how terrible it must feel to lose a child. God give rest to that little soul.

Another tragic loss. Unfortunately, an acceptable one to 2A-ers. As long as they can get any gun they want, any time they want, nothing will be done to prevent this.

As I understand it, this could have been done by a swiss army knife. I imagine NRA gives thoughts and prayers. /s They have no humanity.

A more efficient semi-automatic human killer could have ended so many more young lives. This shows why we need looser gun laws and easier access to military-style weaponry, which is exactly what the Founding Fathers obviously intended.

The guy who shot the child was a real gun nut. Little movies of him at the gun range. I’m so proud of republicans and the NRA for insuring that guns get into the hands of every murderous idiot.

Mr Eriz formerly worked at an autobody shop and has reportedly posted pictures of himself shooting weapons at a gun range on social media.

RIP. How sad and they keep selling to loons …what will it take to end this madness? Oh I know! If a member of GOP has a tragic ending then you’ll see legislation fly through congress…..

The gun nut judge appointed by GHW Bush said that kid could have just as easily been killed by a Swiss Army Knife.

I sometimes see references to a “God-given” right to own guns. How exactly do we know which rights are God-given? Do we know how Jesus interpreted the Second Amendment? He talks about swords, but I don’t recall any comment about guns. If God gives a right, shouldn’t she/he/they be in charge of guaranteeing that right? What if my God gives me the right to live in a society without guns? Is there a bigger God, a sort of divine Supreme Court, to adjudicate this dispute between my God and your God?

Another life sacrificed for the 2nd Amendment. Offer your prayers, oh and don’t forget thoughts. They’re free too.

A moment of rage and a gun immediately at hand. Think “constitutional carry” will improve the situation?

The driver was protesting the other drivers actions so the other driver, using the new anti-protester laws, shot at the protester. Now he can be hailed as a hero just like George Zimmerman.

As for God given rights, the only thing think of in the New Testament is Jesus saying “those who live by the sword, die by the sword”. My guess is that Jesus would beg to differ on the “God given rights” argument.

Still not the right time to discuss gun control or mental health improvements, according to those friendly with the NRA… just some collateral damage…

Yet another outrage for which the response will, of course, be “thoughts and prayers”.

The US experiment with unlimited access to assault rifles as well as other weapons has already proven to be a mistake. So of course the judge in CA has to pile on. This is not going to end tolerably, much less “well”… but I’ll probably die before the USA does. I hope.
