Crappy pay makes for crappy goods & services — and workers too. We can all be doing so much better. The obscene profit margins must go.
If an employer cannot afford to pay a living wage for the position, then there is never was a real sustainable position to be had in the first place.
Good riddance to businesses & institutions that go under because of poor practices [expenses exceed income]. Ya got no real business being in business, and are just sucking up capital and resources better used elsewhere.
Want better wages? Unionise! Workers have one common enemy, the employing classes who want them to labor for nothing. The working classes are encouraged in this endeavour by what we once termed ‘conservative’, but have now degenerated into fascists and unfortunately, the genuinely conservative workers, fail to see it.
I read the book by Adamski when I was a pre-teen. After being exposed, he admitted that the photo of the flying saucer (pictured in panel 3) was actually the top of a canister vacuum cleaner that he tossed up and took the photo while spinning!!!

When you’re talking about unskilled jobs, yeah this is corrected, but for a person with proper training and skills wages have steadily gone up.

That’s the trouble with raising the bottom wages.. everyone on the ladder gets the same %.. and at a 6 figure income that’s a big increase.

Boy, I’ll bet those gains even surpassed the gains in the profit margins!
