So good of you to give a complete list of the things you think he’s spending on that won’t return value greater than the cost. What? You say “but, that would be all of them, and THEN how can I draw a biting and incisive ’toon about his spending?”
Was this the same cartoon you used when Trump and the 2017 GOP-led Congress paid for tax cuts to the top 1% with debt? Why is that debt OK and Biden’s projected programs to actually help people “bad” debt?
Self-proclaimed King of Debt Trump called for more spending and more tax cuts, reportedly saying that economic consequences didn’t matter as long as they came after he was reelected.
At least Biden’s helping the general population rather than stuffing his wealthy friends pockets. Feeding money to the populace is generally a good way to stimulate the economy.
If trump had done his job this WOULDN’T be happening at such a grand scale….he dismantled America, policy by policy, and now it’s in shambles! That’s what happens when an incompetent evil greedy baffoon gets in power….
Missing the point here — and I recall it from BusinessWeek when I was in the MBA program at Penn State during the kingship of the god Reagan — what is the purpose of the spending? Is it for investing in our country and people? Will it make us more competitive in the global economy? Will is follow Robert Kiyosaki’s theme of “buying assets” give us cash flows? Does it compare with LBJ’s Great Society that paying for college will result in a larger middle class which pays it back with more taxes on larger incomes?
same ‘Biden wants to spend a lot’ idea as this one from a month ago:
https://www.gocomics.com/bobgorrell/2021/05/03
GOP love to say “we can’t afford it!” or “wOn’T sOmEbOdY pLeAsE tHiNk Of ThE nAtIoNaL dEbT!” when democrats propose spending on anything that helps the lower and middle classes.
Virginia seems to be in the middle of this list of tax rates:
and using this website to roughly calculate taxes:
https://smartasset.com/taxes/income-taxes
$7.25/hour ($15,808 per year) = $1,422 in taxes
$9.50*/hour ($19.760 per year) = $2,248
$15/hour($29,250 per year) = $4,063 in taxes
*Virginia’s minimum wage increased to $9.50 on May 1, 2021
people making more money, pay more in taxes, and rely less on social safety nets. They also wouldn’t need a 2nd or 3rd job, thus freeing up jobs for other people.
Tax revenues have to come from somewhere, but the GOP has spent years defunding the IRS, so that they don’t have the money or resources to go after wealthy tax cheats.
Do you have any proof the trickle down promising Trump tax cuts for the super rich actually trickled down? no? didn’t think so.
One of the arguments against raising the minimum wage is “burger flippers would then make the same as an EMT!” to which the response should be “well then EMTS should be making more too! if EMTs are currently making $15/hour, they should be making $25/hour”
today, CEOs make 320x what the typical worker does
Good ol’ dementia joe…………has money to burn while destroying this country. All the socialist communist democrats seem to be proud of him and his handlers..
LOL, of course conservatives had no problem with Trump raising the national debt… must be because Trump gave all the money to the rich, instead of allowing it to benefit the poor or middle class…
Four years of corrupt spending under Trump and this is all you’ve got?
The supposed ‘fiscal conservatives’ should have been screaming at all his trips to Mar a Lago. Also, his trips to Scotland to visit his golf courses. Rerouting Military to stay at his golf course in Scotland at the taxpayers dime. Rerouting military aircraft to the Airport near one of his Scottish golf courses to keep it open for his and his friends aircraft, because it’s use level had it possibly being closed. And, and, and. Which proves the fiscal conservative is just another Republican lie.
I have no doubt the deficit will be lower after Biden’s four years. And not on the backs of working people.
I find it interesting that the guy who really is on the $1,000.00 bill, Grover Cleveland, served a term as President, lost an election, one a second one, and served a second, non-consecutive term. He is, so far, the only President to do so, but he may not be the last.

Funny that you didn’t have a problem with the deficit when the GOP was in charge. Could it be that Bob Gortrell is a hypocrite?

Remember Gorrell’s comic slamming the GOP for adding $2 trillion to the deficit with their 2018 tax cut bill…neither do I.

I gotta admit, Gorrell did do a pretty good job on the Biden/US Grant cut/paste in the thousand dollar bill.
Ok, now that I’ve done that, it’s a durn shame the whole point of the comic is so backwards and deliberately ignorant.
I am glad we are spending. We are a rich nation and can afford it. The problem, Bob Gorrell, is the Republican refusal to properly tax the wealthy.
