Puck is the fuzzy, living embodiment of an actual marshmallow and I love him.

Heh… I like the whickering-like sound in the third panel. X3 Emphasizes the horse-ness, along with the oats.

As we guessed, Puck’s kindness strikes again.

Puck could tame anything with his calm, friendly approach.

OT: Re Personal Loss

Everyone’s friends with Puck. Even if they can’t all lie next to him.

Puck just tamed the wild stallion, like Alexander the Great did to the horse Bucephalus. Not with the whip, but with understanding.

The great horse was afraid of his own shadow. Alexander noticed this, and kept his attention on Alexander, himself, until he calmed down. The trust they built would last until they conquered the world, and made an empire together.

Puck has that quality. He builds trust, empathy, and understanding. We need more Puck in this world.

Georgia really does a spectacular job bringing vacume cleaners to life. This story just like the great momma vacume story three years ago, is brilliant. And I love the horse motif.

Dignity. All creatures (and vacuums) deserve some level of dignity, a concept our Pucky seems to understand well. You may disagree on the most fundamental level with someone or some creature, but grant them the dignity they deserve.

I can’t wait to see Lupin’s rage when Tortimer glides around, with Puck perched easily atop him . . . maybe waving like a pageant queen to the adoring masses! =)

O.T. Robber mice back story. Here’s part of a post from Georgia on facebook yesterday, "There is a whole backstory to this. I keep hoping to maybe break it out some Halloween, perhaps this will be the year! Or maybe in a future book at least… It tells of with how Natasha originally escaped from Grimtech, the science labs in the town, with the help of local wild mouse Alice. (You’ve seen Grimtech. It’s featured in the upper right corner of the town in the August 4, 2019 strip for anyone who enjoys hunting down previously unknown details! https://www.gocomics.com/breaking-cat-news/2019/08/04 ) I wrote many strips around 2017 for an short extra side comic, but then decided to hold onto the story in case Burt ever tapped into Grimtech’s old security footage. Every character in BCN has a long and elaborate backstory. While I may never have a chance to share them all, it helps me to know when I am writing who everyone is, who they were before BCN, who they are in and out of the CN news studio, etc.

Maybe Tortimer is a direct descendant of the “automatic sweeper” that appeared in several Looney Tunes—the robot that would roll out of its closet every time some debris landed on the floor, sweep the stuff up into its attached dustpan, rush to the trash can for disposal, then return to the closet. There was one ‘toon where the sweeper was so overworked and aggravated that it emerged from the closet wearing a coat and hat, slapped an “I QUIT” sign on the door, and rolled out of the house, suitcase in hand. Hopefully Puck’s kindness will prevent Tortimer from doing the same!
