There’s a video on the web where a vet shows how he drools into the cat’s mouth to get it to swallow the pill he has dropped into its mouth. Strange but effective.
My older sister was living on her own, but came back home to take care of our family dog while we were on vacation. (She couldn’t get the time off or she would’ve come with us.) Anyway, the dog needed a pill and she put it in his food. He kept outsmarting her — eating the food and leaving the pill in the dish — and finally she put it in some leftover spaghetti with sauce. The dish was clean, no pill. Then she went outside and saw the pill, licked clean, sitting on the patio.
