Let’s start by legalizing all recreational drugs. Sure, there will still be drug abuse (like there was ever gonna be any way to avoid it), but it’ll be properly treated as a medical matter, not a legal one, and half the excuses for cops raining crap down on Black people will disappear overnight.
(Fringe benefit: We’ll stop subsidizing American crime cartels and their drug monopoly as our intermediaries for shipping billions of dollars to Latin America, where they destabilize legitimate governments in favor of drug lords, narcogangs, and corrupt dictators, all eager to get their greedy hands on those heaping piles of American loot, with innocent citizens — the victims of it all — being driven in desperation to our southern border, where we sneer at them as if they’re the ones causing us problems!)
