Don’t know his stats lifetime but I’d say Watson is just below elite level, apart from his Clemson days, he has been good but not great.

That’s the crux of the issue. He, like so many talented athletes, have been told all their lives how elite they are and they believe it. And that the rules for the non-elite don’t apply to them. Until they break their nose on the wall of reality. Then, of course, it’s too late.

When certain Denver sports columnists were crying that Denver needed to pull out all the stops to get Watson, that Watson was a franchise player, that Watson would elevate the whole team, yada, yada, yada (all before the civil suits and accusations, of course), I was wondering—Houston was 4-12. How good can he be?Granted, Houston could make the Hope Diamond worthless…
