Another similar toon could be done with U.S. housing. The shortage is getting critical as purchase prices rise (which pressures rentals upward too) and there is a lack of labor and materials for new housing.
So what do we do? We provide one side of a conflict with armaments. Then we negotiate a ceasefire which includes rebuilding the housing that was destroyed by those armaments. Rinse and repeat by every administration since the first death occurred.
Our tax dollars at work. Then again it has been pointed out that the spending is another type of stimulus package.
The UN is not a world government, but rather an international forum of willing participants, some of whom are more powerful than others. The Veto (by any of the permanent members of the Security Council) is (IMHO very regrettably) necessary to keep members from walking out and taking action on their own.
I’m not sure what else the UN could have done, though. The US helped negotiate a cease-fire, although its credibility has been damaged by Trump. Money has been appropriated to help with rebuilding.
If anyone cares, it might have been a little more exact to show more missiles coming from Gaza to Israel. They are the ones that started a missile attack. Anything from Israel was to try and destroy incoming missiles. (the bombings are a different story)

The US & UK are the ones who provide Israel with protection from the UN…neither can be seen as an honest broker.
