Nice, Matt. It’s how Moscow Mitch sees the world every minute when he is out of power, but still has to bend the knee before a Fat Orange Clown who is trying to overthrow our Democracy using serfs and sociopaths.

It’s time we just start calling the Trump apologists in Congress exactly what they are: Gutless Traitorous Cowards.

I have (once again) placed my hopes that traitors and insurrectionists will be brought to justice. You would think that by now I would have learned that it is never gonna happen. Definitely not as long as the lunatic mentally challenged Quplicans continue blocking any examination of their actions.

“If we’re going to take on China, rebuild the country, if we’re going to reverse climate change, we need two political parties in this country that are both living in reality and you ain’t one of them,” the congressman told the House, pointing his finger at GOP members.

Hypocrisy and lies are the default settings, the established standard, and explicit practice of the Republican party. No one should be surprised at this by now. Everyone should be waving placards reading “GOP: lies and hypocrisy—standard practice.” And ignorance, let’s not forget the GOP’s persistently proud ignorance.

Remember when GOP said it was all AntiFa and BLM masquerading as Trump supporters? If that was true they would love a Benghazi style investigation to prove it. Oh wait….cause they know damn well they were MAGA and some of the GOP Congressmen are complicit in what happened that day. Can’t have them testifying under oath can we now.

Republicans should not be allowed on the 1/6 investigative committee any more than Al-Qaida should have been on the 9/11 investigative committee.

Here is the roll call for H.R. 3233 for a bipartisan investigation of the Jan. 6th insurrection. You can search by name, vote, state and party.

    https://clerk.house.gov/Votes/2021154

The Republicans that are trying to block this investigation are disgusting. Kevin McCarthy and other Repubs seemed to really love holding yet another Benghazi hearing, but now want to “look forward” and pretend that their actions to try to overturn the election were “no big deal”.

EVERY TIME McConnell says something he comes across as one or more of:

    > Irrelevant

    > Lying

    > Damned lying

    > As convincing as a paid actor in a hair-replacement commercial

Capital cops testifying what happened to them on Jan. 6th is something the Republicans don’t want happening. Not after the GOP described it as an orderly tour of the Capital.
