Oh geez. Now Miller is bringing us bathroom humor? Not sure I get the point of the different sizes being sorted that way.

Reminds me of a “Young Frankenstein” scene. Dumped 100 million years ago. Dumped 50 million years ago. Just now Dumped. There is a bird directly above you.

Does this display mean to imply that this dinosaur would leave a trail of larger and larger “droppings”?

If not, they could have had a different dinosaur skeleton “lined up” with each coprolite displayed.

Ah! I get it. This is based on the little-known theory that constipation is what killed the dinosaurs.

I’d probably have to drag my boys out to get them to another area of the museum. Little poop-heads, sometimes it seems that’s all they think about.

I have to question the presumptive shape of the coprolite specimens of a massive herbivore, given those of current inhabitants. I might have expected large pizza pie size shapes to be more common.

About 30 years ago I found a very small coprolite. Since then it has been kept safe from getting lost in a small wooden box that sits on my coffee table where it’s easy for me to see it and remember that my very small doings won’t last anywhere near as long.

I like how they’ve placed the skeleton, with his ass over the fossilized turd, as though he’d just pooped. That explained what Coprolite meant.
