What are the “Republicans” afraid will be discovered/uncovered by a formal investigation?

McConnell said their were enough police investigations of the insurrection, so no congressional investigation is needed. Bulls**t.

There aren’t any police investigations into support given by people in Congress to the attackers. What senators or representatives gave reconnaissance tours to attackers in the days before the assault? What staff members or employees were complicit in giving support to the attackers?

We the People need to know. We need to know who, what, when, where, and why. We need to know so we can prevent it ever happening again.

We need to know in order to educate the public about who is for the people, for rule by the People through the Rule of Law. The public needs to know the democratic principles that make our republic work. The public needs to know who supports turning the USA into a fascist autocracy.

Remember, in the next round of elections, you have a choice between voting for TRAITORS TO AMERICA, AND EVERYTHING IT STANDS FOR, or voting for the Democratic Candidates.

We already know that McCarthy is an idiotic politician who (like many others) has sold his soul to a political entity.

If it proves even one sitting member of the Republican congress had advanced knowledge of or helped in the insurrection it will be worth it for exposing the traitors in the Republican party.

Let’s face it: the mob of traitors who stormed the Capitol at the urging of the head traitor, Trump, did it just a few MONTHS ago. If it had happened a century ago, and there happened to be extant, let’s say 10% of the video that we have now, even THEN only imbeciles and lunatics would NOT know that it was a violent insurrection. McCarthy is neither an imbecile (though he isn’t all that intelligent) nor a lunatic. He is, however, dishonest to the rotten core of his rotten being, and possibly the 4th biggest coward in the country (after Trump, Cruz, and Hawley).

I have to wonder if McCarthy was dropped on Montana Swill’s head from a great height, which would explain the brain damage they both suffer from………..

Any investigation will be a waste of taxpayer time and money as they will conclude it was Soro’s and Hillary’s fault anyway. So let it go. This country is doomed. My 95 y/o Dad says he hopes for a benevolent dictatorship in our future when Trump/Desantis take over in 2024.

Why do we even want a bipartisan investigation? Why ask the Republican members of Congress to help investigate their own incitement of sedition and murder? Who would expect them to do anything other than obstruct the investigation and try to block a report of it?

I notice Montanabill wants to talk about circuses. As in, he thinks Democrats just want to rehash old history for the drama. Funny enough, today I was driving down the road when I saw a group of trumpistas waving their “Don’t Tread on Me” flags. And one had a poster reading “Never Forget Benghazi!” Gee, didn’t the GOP-led congress have hearings about that? How long ago was that?
