Took me a moment to figure out how the words got there. Then I realised they must be left over from when Nancy had her idea. She wrote it on the mirror so she wouldn’t forget, but when the water vapour cleared so did the message. But her skin oils were still on the mirror, hence the reappearance now that it’s getting foggy again.
