Marjorie Taylor Greene ‘should be arrested’: GOP ‘bully’ blasted for confrontation with AOC
Two Washington Post reporters overheard the Georgia Republican twice call out to Ocasio-Cortez by her first name, and the New York Democrat kept walking, so Greene picked up her pace and shouted accusations at her colleague and demanded a public debate.
“You don’t care about the American people,” Greene shouted. “Why do you support terrorists and antifa?”
Ocasio-Cortez threw up her hands in exasperation, and her office contacted the Sergeant at Arms to discuss security inside the Capitol after the Jan. 6 insurrection — and Greene’s actions didn’t go over well on social media.

WASHINGTON — House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., said Thursday that Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene’s decision to scream at Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez outside the House chamber is behavior that may need to be investigated by the House Ethics Committee.
Pelosi said at her weekly news conference that the incident, which she called a “verbal assault” and “abuse” of the New York Democrat, was reported to her leadership office.
“It’s so beyond the pale of anything that is in keeping with bringing honor to the House, or not bringing dishonor to the House. It’s so beyond the pale that you wonder … it probably is a matter for the Ethics Committee,” Pelosi said.
The speaker added, “This is beneath the dignity of a person serving in the Congress of the United States and is a cause for trauma and fear among members, especially on the heels of an insurrection, on which the minority in the committee yesterday denied ever happened.”
Pelosi called Greene’s behavior “egregious” and said that the House Republican Conference should create some sort of “respectable behavior standard for them.”
“But it could be that this would rise to the level of an ethics complaint,” she said.
The GQP is almost predictable. They will attack the “DemonRats” about deficit spending, inflation, porous borders, “family values”, “death panels”… There’s an add running on local TV crying about how our Democrat Congessman is trying to (gasp) socialize medicine, thereby (oh the horror) cutting down payments to “our hard working and patriotic pharmaceuticals industry” which will (we’re all gonna die!) reduce the amount of innovation they can afford.
These attacks all have three things in common (four if you add “All done by GQP”):
They’re basically lies
They are in fact things that the GQP regularly does to us
They have some tiny basis in a news story somewhere. Which may, sometimes, have some basis in reality. Sometimes.
Pelosi Just Destroyed House Republicans For Calling Capitol Attack Normal
Speaker Pelosi called House Republicans sick for claiming that the attack on the Capitol was a normal day.
Multiple people were killed, over 140 police officers shoot, and the attackers should hang the vice president. Normal? Yet, in a hearing yesterday, some house Republicans defended those actions, saying the rioters were orderly and acting similar to a normal tourist visit. They basically saw them and said, well, they were just walking through between the velvet ropes that are there to direct the tourist path. You have to see it because it was beyond denial.
It fell into the range of sick.
And that’s what we have to deal with when we are saying it is urgent for us to secure the Capitol. Why? It was just a normal tourist day. We have to strengthen our police force. Why? It was just a normal tourist day. And, we have to establish a commission for January 6th. Why? It was just a normal tourist day. So, the same denial that they have acted upon in terms of congresswoman Liz Cheney, the denial they have there. The denial about what happened that day. The denial for the need for more security to make sure it doesn’t happen again and the denial of refining the truth is what we have to deal with. And we will find the truth, and we are hoping we can do so in the most bipartisan way possible. I think that that’s essential.
