No problem. The Democrats have been the Party of Lincoln since at least 1965. Honest Abe is turning over in his grave at what his former party has become. But Andrew Johnson and James Buchanan are exchanging high-fives celebrating their move up one notch from the bottom.

Maybe it’s time to start using a Frightened Mouse as the GQP’s mascot animal.

Honest Abe, were he aware, and a-care of the situation would surely recognize it as a take over of the party by a cult. And he’d be sad at best.

Picture that statue rising up and stomping through the GQP meetings and press conferences like the StayPuft Marshmallow Man but really super pissed.

The GOP can no longer be called ‘the party of Lincoln’. It has removed itself from any resemblance of the party of Lincoln. “America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves.” “I have always found that mercy bears richer fruits than strict justice.” “Those who deny freedom to others, deserve it not for themselves.” “Elections belong to the people. It’s their decision. If they decide to turn their back on the fire and burn their behinds, then they will just have to sit on their blisters.” All quotes of Lincoln which the present party would regard as anathema.

Former SDNY prosecutor: Donald Trump will “be an inmate”

Donald Trump still appears to be under the delusional belief that he can somehow make a political comeback. Of course that’s hard to do when your favorability rating is around thirty percent, you’re banned from social media, and your suffering cognitive decline. It’s even more difficult to do from prison.

Yes, Trump is going to prison. Just ask Richard Signorelli, former Assistant U.S. Attorney for the SDNY, who tweeted this: “Remember, Trump knows something we don’t know yet: every crime he has committed. This is why he tried to overthrow our democracy. This is why he will be an inmate no later than 2024.”

It’s worth keeping this in mind even as the Republicans demote Liz Cheney today. That move isn’t somehow magically going to reinvigorate Donald Trump’s dead political career. Nor will it give the Republicans magical authoritarian powers. All the Republicans are doing is trying to make Trump feel better about his 2020 loss, in the hope he won’t lash out at them in his final days.

Makes sense to despise honesty when your Dear Leader told over 30,500 lies during his term in office…

People seem to forget that “Honest Abe”, himself, abandoned the republican party in 1864 – running, instead, and getting reelected president under the National Union Party banner!

When Abraham Lincoln was assassinated at Ford’s Theater, he was NOT A REPUBLICAN – he was a National Unionist!

The Republican Party began in the 1854 as the Liberal party in the U.S. Lincoln, a Liberal, was their first elected president. The Republican Party had a Liberal wing well into the 1960s, and last led by Thomas Dewey. It was Nixon’s ‘Southern Strategy’ in 1968 that began the conversion of conservatives in the South to the GOP. Imagine the South supporting ‘the party of Lincoln’. The joke was on them. If Lincoln were president today Republican/conservatives would impeach him. Calling it the Party of Lincoln is the platform for all the lies to follow.

re baggett comment above. #1 don’t feed the trolls #2 this comment displays just how bigly stupid the sheeple who watch, and believe, the Fox opinion and RW propaganda network really are.

Roger Ailes-FOPN creator stated, in court, under oath that the network talking heads were spouting out their own opinions. IOW FOPN is an Entertainment Network

Tucker Carlsons lawyers stated in court, under oath when fighting a lawsuit that “NO REASONABLE PERSON LISTENING TO TC COULD POSSIBLY BELIEVE THAT HE WAS TELLING THE TRUTH”(they won their case with that comment)they totally called the fns sheeple audience stupid because they believe that the talking head “entertainers” are actually telling them the truth.

And as we all know “YOU CAN’T FIX STUPID” The current problem is that about 1/2 of all adults in the US are in fact stupid.

The internet allows the truly stupid people to show the world just how stupid they are(I really think the prize for the stupidest remark so far in 2021-as of 05/05/21-goes to Marjorie Taylor Greene-Republican aka cult Trump-14th District of Georgia who stated that “wildfires in CA were caused by Jewish space lasers”)

Which in turn makes the voters of Georgia’s 14th District who actually voted for her, the stupidest sheeple in the US
