I hope that Mr. Ramirez is correct that the Trump supporting Republican Party is down to 25% of the electorate. I am not sure it is true.

Look out. If its candidates stay loyal to Trump, then the GOP might be able to take the House back next year. Thar’s gold in them thar Trump lies.

Very uncharacteristic of Michael to make fun of the republican party. Is Mr. Ramirez having second thoughts about the wisdom displayed by his party?

Trump was simply the direction the GOP has been heading for decades. He wasn’t an aberration, he was the natural conclusion. Racist, corrupt, pathologically deceitful.

Mikey supported Trump and the insurrectionists for 4 long years. NOW he wants to switch sides.

Mikey wouldn’t be saying these things if Sheldon Adelson were still alive to beat him into submission with his checkbook.

Biden is at 63% favorable, big lie Trump never got above 49%

Big Lie Republicans know racist Trump lost the vote but have decided to claim the election was stolen from them. The anti democracy republican party should be disbanded for having nothing but lies.

The problem is, there are too many people that made the Republican party part of their identity, and can’t stop voting for the clown show, because, well, I really don’t know why. If the Democrats started having Nazi rallies, I’d stop voting for them. Thankfully, I don’t see that happening anytime soon. If it ever does, it’s because the big lie won.

Ramirez does, occasionally, get his head out of his fundament and draw something cartoon-realistic. Such as this.

I particularly like pennant/flag flying above the stern rail. And the limpets.

Donald Trump’s new “communications platform”, which boasts a blog-like format, has flopped on social media since its unveiling last week, according to a report.

Following his banning from mainstream social media websites amid the Capitol insurrection, including Facebook and Twitter the former president set up “From the Desk of Donald J Trump”.

NBC News reported that engagement with the new blog is drawing a considerably smaller audience than his now-banned social media accounts ever did.

Citing data compiled with BuzzSumo, a social media analytics company, the broadcaster says the platform has only raked in 212,000 engagements.

In comparison, a single post on the former president’s Twitter account to his 88 million followers could receive more than a million likes in one go, mainlining his every musing to the front of national attention.

On the “From the Desk” site, users can’t comment or interact with the post, but can only share them to other platforms.

“In the case of Trump’s new platform, it is so technologically primitive that there is no way for his followers to even migrate,” Jeremy Blackburn, an assistant professor of computer science.

Liz Cheney agreed with Trump 93% of the time. She also agreed that twice impeached former president should have been convicted. She wanted her party to follow the law. They refused. So now she is guilty and will be pushed out of her position because of it.

Kevin McCarthy caught on tape: ‘I think Putin pays’ Trump; Bakersfield congressman says it was a failed joke

THE BAKERSFIELD CALIFORNIAN May 17, 2017 Updated May 18, 2017

House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy, of Bakersfield, privately told his fellow party leaders last year that then-presidential candidate Donald Trump could be being paid by Russian President Vladimir Putin, The Washington Post reported Wednesday in a story that’s gone viral.

“There’s two people I think Putin pays: Rohrabacher and Trump,” The Post reported McCarthy said on June 15, 2016. It was caught on a recording.

Rohrabacher is U.S. Rep. Dana Rohrabacher, R-Costa Mesa.

McCarthy dismissed the seriousness of the Post story on Twitter Wednesday afternoon.

“This was an attempt at humor gone wrong,” he tweeted. “No surprise @WashingtonPost tried to contort this into breaking news.”

Still, according to The Post, House Speaker Paul Ryan, R-Wis., immediately stopped the conversation McCarthy was having last year and implored those present to keep it secret.

The Post said McCarthy’s comments came after he and Ryan had left separate conversations at the U.S. Capitol with Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman, “who had described a Kremlin tactic of financing populist politicians to undercut Eastern European democratic institutions.”

They also came just a day after The Post broke the news that Russians had hacked the computer network of the Democratic National Committee.

When some of the GOP colleagues McCarthy was conversing with laughed at his comment, the Bakersfield congressman followed up with: “Swear to God,” The Post reported.

It said Ryan told those involved not to spread the word, saying: “No leaks. … This is how we know we’re a real family here.”
