We’re something like 2/3 of the way there, maybe a touch more. And only in the USA. Non-vaxxers are a problem with that, but not, imo, the worst problem: The whole world is our herd, and in THAT herd, we’re only about 10% of the way to immunity. And as long as there are (a lot) of folks who are passing it along only a little bit changed for the worse, we’re still in danger (the egoistic view). Or you can be humanitarian and just wish that all those people could live instead of dying. What a WASTE!

The anti-vaxxers have their own herd, and their leader is ignorance.

Might all be in vain.. there’s a new herd developing in America that will do more damage in the long run than that COVID thing. It don’t take long to replace people, democracy might never come back.

I don’t understand the Anti-Vaxxers. I imagine most of them consider themselves loyal Christians and yet, when an opportunity comes along to show their love of all mankind, they choose the devil’s option. Though fully vaxxed, I still wear the mask, partly because there are variants out there that I could get, but mostly to protect others. To me, that’s Christ’s love in action. Why don’t these sad folks get it?

And, of course, if those anti-vaxxers successfully derail herd immunity they will blame it on the doctors who advocated for vaccinations and the people who complied…

“Just maybe a few more people would trust the vaccines if Biden and Fauci would start trusting the science. Kids should be in school. Vaccinated people don’t need masks or social distance.”

The black wolf is more accurate than many would suppose. There is a major anti vaccine element within the black community. In spite of the propaganda from the left wing loons it’s the left wingers who are the majority of the antivaxxer crowd.
