Everyone in the United States, Canada or England should know the meaning of D-Day.

But you know, strange as it may seem, now they give days of the week very peculiar names.

    Funny names?

Oh yes, absolutely. Yes, they call Monday “What Day Is It?” Tuesday was given the monicker “Yesterday,” Wednesday and Thursday are “Last Week” and “Next Week.” …

Oddly, we weren’t taught about D-Day in school. Perhaps because it was our parent’s generation that just fought the war, they assumed we learned at home (which I did). WWII in school consisted of: Pearl Harbor, who the Allies were, and who the Axis were.

…dancing in the streets, brings to mind…Freedom is a delicate treasure…..

Common Core doesn’t even teach such events…they’re too busy teaching how to take a test and other nonsense subjects …

Fans of Jeopardy were sad because all three contestants drew a bland when none of the three could recognize the source of famous lines from The Gettysburg Address. Now D-Day draws a bland. These days we’re on the brink of forgetting we are a free Democracy and seem willing to become a fascist nation. History is our warning, but not if we pay it no attention.
