Occupation: bench warmer in god’s waiting room

Occupation: Living a good life for me and others.

I put “retired” shortly after retiring but changed to “self-employed” when I found I was working longer hours than when I had a “profession”

I lover typing in “retired”. I put it down, even if they don’t ask. “Back to Big Mike – retired.” Nice.

there are so may people my age, 71, that i see working and i think to myself how am fortunate i am that i can put “retired” down on the occupation line too. my health is pretty good and i lead a very simple life style; my needs and wants are next to nil.l

It’s good to have simple needs, because my income was cut in half when I retired.

I do surveys and sometimes they ask things like whats your role in the company you work for. Retired isn’t an option, so I have to choose the closest thing I can find. I choose Chairman. Well, I’m sitting in a chair when I’m filing it out.

I hope they carry me feet first from my office. Far too many in my family retired, sat down, turned on the T.V. and waited to die. I’m afraid of risking that ugly end to an otherwise productive life.

4 days and counting! Working my butt off though cleaning my daughter’s basement.

Love my six day weekends!

I sometimes put “house husband”, just to change it up.
