In AL’s universe, investing in your own country isn’t worth is, which is why the alternate reality he lives in is an austere hell-hole where all money is only given to corporations and billionaires, who dictate how much their workers are allowed to earn, what infrastructure is allowed to be repaired (to the benefit of those corporations and billionaires), and what the government is allowed to govern. Anything beyond that is fantasy.

Al has no problem spending $1,400,000 on cruise missiles and other military weapons which can only be used once instead of building and repairing systems in the USA that benefit the American tax payer and other US citizens.

At least we are getting something from this money. Most of the deficit was created by Republican tax cuts to the rich, that gave us nothing back in return.

Meanwhile many working class Americans are already paying more in taxes as we pay back the four months of Payroll Tax Deferral that the last administration put in effect as a last minute “re-elect me and you won’t have to pay it back” gimmick. Leaving aside the question of whether or not the planned funding WILL support the spending. Which at least a lot of us think is not just feasible but likely.
