Media conglomerates need to be broken up. The 1996 Telecommunications Act allowed Fix and Sinclair to buy too many TV stations. It negatively affected music also; local radio stations used to choose their own music and now conglomerates use marketing to play the same music across all of their stations. We used to enjoy listening to the radio on road trips to get the local perspective but that doesn’t really exist much anymore.

Constitution says Freedom of speech…but per usual, GOP takes it and runs…their filthy mouths off with lies, deceit, hate!

Isn’t everything spewed from Tucker Carlson mouth is asked as a question? (Like I just did) That way he’s NOT making a false statement that’s a lie or can be sued for libel. It’s the viewer who affirms the lie in his or her own mind. Any attorney worth hiring would tell you that . . . and then there’s Rudy Ghouliani, right?

I’m wondering if a proof of non-vaccination card is now in order. I need a license to operate a motor vehicle, a permit to carry a weapon, continuing education to practice my profession (before I retired, at any rate), and so on. People need proof of vaccination for several activities, so proof of refusal should also be required if for no other reason than to permit health care officials to know who and what they’re having to deal with.

One of the leaders of the old U.S.S.R. said that capitalists will sell themselves the rope they use to hang themselves. Can’t restrict the 1st Amendment so one has to hope that people actually read and watch informed sources, not RW partisan ones.
