So divorce is being “detoxed”.
Or, as some have moaned, a season in Hell.
Just don’t relapse.
I had a friend whose wife would fall in love every Spring. It was hard on him. For a couple of years, she and I had a platonic friendship which seemed to serve as a substitute. In the end the marriage failed, but both moved on to better lives.
My wife and I have been married for 25 years, and we love each other more now than we did when we were first wed. And we’re still going strong.
Agree on the first wife, strongly disagree on the second. It has been a stint in Heaven (for the most part, lol).
Been married for 52 years. Best addiction a human can have.
