I resembled Baldo all the way down to the blue uniform back in the summer of 1969 when I was pumping Gulf gasoline at a service station where we employees did the work.
I do miss the days of service attendants. Although, I rarely used a station while living at home since we had our own gas drums to fill from. The first time I had to file my own car up at a gas station was a major learning curve for me.
