He really has no grasp of reality when it comes to what’s good for their pet. Figures.

Gumbo’s face in panel 3 says “No Cheez-its? Life has no purpose now.”

Quick way to kill the family pet, Adam—fatty liver, obesity, chocolate toxicity, just to name a few of the outcomes of feeding him junk food. People think “food is love” when it comes to their pets, but that kind of and that much food is fatal!

Okay, well we are quickly moving out of the realm of easy snacks into the land of cold cuts and cheeses. Not a bad move, really.

Okay, okay, Laura; I know dogs should not eat food meant for human consumption.

But sometimes there are well-made, “nutritious,” (LOL) snacks meant for humans that a dog could eat. Certain cookies, without chocolate, are an example. Cheetos? I don’t think so. Pretzel bites; maybe?

Laura, you really shouldn’t have this discussion around Gumbo. He’s not taking this news well.

You preach it,Laura. You just killed your dog Gumbo with the garbage snacks you fathead ding-ga-ling. How about intruduce him into a nice dog treats? You can make shapes out those treats. I feel sorry for Dollie and Phil who let Marmaduke eat anything he like. That dog may be a big pain but he’s been loved.
